(from 1961 to 1966). During this period he made 25 short films. The following were awarded:
Sunday (1961), Diary (1963), Story (1964), Aria (1964), Breath (1964), Concerto (1965), Night and After Night - Night (1968), Rainy (Innocent Saturday) (1965), Portraits (Passing By) (1966). In year 1966 he was awarded with the highest degree in international amateur film, he was proclaimed The Master.

Evening Bells, feature fiction, Jadran film, Zagreb (1986) - Awards: at the Pula Film Festival. In the selection at festivals in Valencia, Paris, Montreal, Montpellier and other festivals.

Aloa - The Whore's Feast, feature fiction, Jadran film and TV Zagreb (1988) - Awards: Critic's Award at Pula Film Festival. Screened at the Venice festival.

The Decline of the Century (Testament L. Z.), feature documentary, consists of two parts and an epilogue, Kino-dokument and Česká TV (1993) - Screened at Viennale - Vienna, on Czech TV and RAI, TV Slovenia, Berlin festival - Berlinare (FORUM), 1994, at festivals in Rotterdam and Strasbourg, Trieste, Paris, Los Angeles, Moscow, Goeteberg, Valladolid, Munich and elsewhere. Film is a part of the collection at the Museum of Holocaust in Tel Aviv.
